On April 4, 1878, Buckshot Roberts rode to Blazers Mill to collect a debt he was owed. Billy the Kid and 13 Regulators just happened to be at the Mill. They had a warrant for Buckshot's arrest.
Buckshot fought and held off all 13 of them, killing Dick Brewer and injuring others. Buckshot Roberts did get hit in the belly and also died the next day.
